When you go to try out for a movie or show, making a good impression is important. It's like showing how skilled you are at becoming different characters on screen.

    Dos:

    1. Be Prepared

Study the script or sides (specific scenes provided for the audition) thoroughly. Understand your character and the story to deliver a convincing performance.

    2. Arrive Early

Punctuality is key. Be there ahead of time to fill out any necessary paperwork and get comfortable in the environment.

    3. Dress the Part

Wear clothing that reflects the character you're auditioning for, but don't go overboard with costumes. Keep it simple and suggestive of the character.

    4. Show Confidence

Be confident in your abilities and choices. Make eye contact, speak clearly, and be expressive in your performance.

    5. Be Open to Direction

Directors might ask you to try a scene in different ways. Be flexible and willing to take direction, it shows your adaptability.

    Don'ts:

    1. Don't Be Late

Tardiness can create a bad impression. It shows a lack of professionalism and respect for others' time.

    2. Avoid Overdoing It

While it's important to embody the character, avoid exaggerated movements or accents that might distract from the essence of the scene.

    3. Don't Memorize Lines Only

Understand the emotions and motivations behind the lines. Don't just recite, embody the character's feelings and intentions.

    4. Avoid Negative Attitudes

Stay positive, even if you feel nervous or things don’t go as planned. Negative attitudes can leave a lasting impression.

    5. Don't Be Afraid to Ask Questions

If something isn't clear in the script or directions, it's okay to ask politely for clarification.

In conclusion, making that good impression means being ready, dressing right, and showing confidence while being friendly and open. But there are also things to avoid, like being late, trying too hard, or being negative.
