About the Speaker Gary Baum ASC has an impressive career in camera, spanning over 43 years. He started out as a film loader with Lorimar Productions at the MGM Studios and worked his way up to camera assistant and camera operator on a range of hit TV shows such as The A-Team, MacGyver, Magnum P.I., Die Hard II, Friends, and Will & Grace. Baum later became a Director of Photography, showcasing his skills in crafting distinctive visual styles that enhance the storytelling of the productions he works on. Baum has received nine Primetime Emmy nominations and three Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Cinematography, including recognition for his work on Will & Grace and Mike & Molly. His contributions to the television industry have been widely celebrated and admired.
